DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, the steering gear’s bearing bushing may become detached from the steering assembly. If this occurs, the vehicle may experience a sudden loss of steering control whilst driving. A sudden loss of steering control whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Daimler Truck asking them to book an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the rectification carried out, free of charge.
