| Defect | The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve may fail. If this occurs, it could lead to reduced acceleration, engine vibration and/or a loss of motive power whilst driving._x000D_ Note: A warning light (check engine) may illuminate on the instrument cluster. A loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ford Motor Company in writing asking them to schedule an appointment with their preferred authorised dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge. |
