| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the retaining bolts on the left and right-side curtain airbags may not have been fastened with sufficient torque. As a result, the airbags may not deploy as intended. In the event of an accident, the airbags not deploying as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by JAC Motors Australia and are asked to make an appointment with their local dealer to have the work carried out, free of charge. |
